Donald Trump Jr
Executive Vice President, Development & Acquisition
The Trump Organisation
Donald Trump Jr. is at the forefront of today’s young businessmen, thanks to his extensive real estate development experience, rigorous education and inherent business sense. Donald Jr. received his Bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Donald Jr. oversees new project acquisition and development for the Trump Organization throughout the world and is currently evaluating projects in South Africa and the rest of Africa, South America, the former USSR, Europe, Asia and across North America. As of 2007, he is overseeing 33 national and international real estate projects.
After joining the Trump Organization in 2001, Donald Jr. initially worked at Trump Place, a 17-building high-rise development along the Hudson River on Manhattan’s West Side. At Trump Place, he participated in all facets of residential and commercial development including planning, design, and construction, marketing, sales and leasing. From there he went on to lead the development of Trump Park Avenue, an ultra-luxury residential condominium on Park Avenue at East 59th Street, which has been a tremendous success.
In 2003, Donald Jr. was chosen to oversee the construction of Trump International Hotel & Tower, Chicago, a 2.6 million square-foot property along the Chicago River. The 90-story building will include 472 residential condominium units, 286 hotel condominium units, and four levels of retail space. Located on the site of the former Sun-Times, it has the best location in Chicago.
More recently, Donald Jr. was named to oversee the development of Trump International Hotel & Tower, Las Vegas, a 64-story hotel condominium tower located on the Las Vegas strip. This tower sold out before it was built, so another 64-story tower is being built to accommodate the demand. The development will feature 2,564 super-luxury hotel condominium units, as well as five-star restaurants, and a full service spa. The first tower is scheduled for completion in early 2008.
In keeping with cutting-edge architecture and design, Donald Jr. is also working on the development of Trump International Hotel & Tower, Fort Lauderdale. The 24-story building will include 301 condominium units overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and will feature a distinctive curvature design resembling a 1920’s luxury cruise liner as designed by the renowned firm of Michael Graves & Associates in partnership with Oscar I. Garcia, architect. The project is expected to be completed in 2007.
In 2005, the Trump Organization and Nakheel Co., LLC announced a partnership to invest and develop The Palm Trump International Hotel & Tower on the Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai, UAE, which is a man-made palm tree shaped island. The Palm Trump International Hotel & Tower will pioneer the Trump Organization’s hotel condominium concept in the region. In addition to approximately 800 hotel rooms, The Palm Trump International Hotel & Tower will feature the world’s finest boutiques along with an ultra-luxurious spa and health club. Donald Jr. will handle the construction, sales, marketing, and management responsibilities for the development, which is due to be completed by 2009.
Donald Jr. and the Trump Organization are also currently working on the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Trump International Hotel & Tower, the first ultra-luxury hotel-condominium property along the shores of Waikiki, will be situated at the intersection of Saratoga and Kalia, Waikiki’s most prominent address. Soaring 38 stores above the Waikiki Beach Walk, there will be exquisite views of Fort de Russy Park, Diamond Head, and the emerald waters of the Waikiki Coast. Amenities will include a private fitness center and spa, library, business center, and round the clock valet and concierge service for each guest. Surrounded by a lush setting of tropical plantings and trees, Trump Waikiki will be the premier resort experience in Hawaii.
Current and future developments, all of which are being overseen by Donald Jr. include the following: SoHo/ New York, New Orleans, Jersey City, Westchester, the Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower in Panama, Trump Island Villas and golf course on Canouan Island in the Grenadines, as well as developments in Seoul, Korea, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Istanbul, Turkey, Punta Bandera, Mexico, Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, Tel Aviv, Israel, and Toronto, Canada.
